Does Pure Protein Air Dried expire?

Pure Protein Air Dried should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Additionally, once opened, they should be consumed within 30 days or stored in an airtight container to maintain freshness. Why Fresh Frozen?

At Full Moon, we’ve set out to feed our dogs the same nourishing ingredients we’d feed ourselves.

Flash freezing allows us to deliver the highest quality ingredients at their peak nutrition in the least processed way. We don’t add any preservatives, so you’re able to conveniently store food longer (up to a year!) and still feel at peace knowing you’re offering a healthy meal, each time.

How is Freshly Crafted™ made?

We take pride in sourcing the meat in our recipes from Perdue Family Farms, where all animals are raised ethically and without use of antibiotics.

Starting in small batches, we gently cook the meat and liver in USDA-compliant facilities, flash freeze, and mix with frozen, raw vegetables. From beginning to end, we uphold the highest standards to be truly human grade.

Our unique individually frozen format allows you to easily scoop as little or as much as you want, or simply pour directly from the bag and serve. Easier for you, better for your dog.

Why is there a 3 bag order minimum?

Freshly Crafted ships frozen with lots of dry ice to keep the food cold in transit and while it waits on your doorstep. It's our responsibility to make quality dog food as accessible as possible and to minimize our carbon footprint from shipping, so we require a minimum of 3 bags per order and encourage ordering a month's worth of food at time.

How do I transition my dog to Freshly Crafted?

Switching to a new food can be challenging for your dog, especially shifting from kibble to fresh. We recommend slowly introducing your dog to Freshly Crafted over a course of a week by following this guidance:

Days 1-2: Introduce with only 25% of the meal.
Days 3-4: Increase to 50% of the meal.
Days 5-6: Increase to 75% of the meal.
Day 7: Fully transition to a complete Freshly Crafted diet.

We know not all dogs have the same preferences, so we've made our food versatile to serve:  frozen (for a firmer texture!), thawed at room temperature, or gently warmed in the microwave on defrost.

What happened to this product?

"These use to have great color and smell. Not anymore this is the last time we will purchase these!! The price is crazy for the odor more smoky/vinegar and the dark over cooked color. I will attach photos later as this is the product now not just a random! Strips are much better product until they go back to being the way they were!! Dogs don't like them and tummies get upset, feel like or is not the same product!"

Q&A

Why is cane sugar in dog treats?
Hi Deb! We use organic cane sugar in small amounts to help keep our treats soft and easy to chew. Unlike other pet brands that use glycerin (a filler that can cause digestive issues), we choose natural ingredients to maintain quality. Hope this helps! 🐶❤️
The expiration date is 08/12/2027 but when I opened the package there was white stuff on several of the pieces. I am assuming mold so won't feed that to Casey. He loves them, (beef jerky). too late to send back to amazon since I bought them a couple of months ago.
Hi Helga! We're so sorry to hear about this. Please reach out to us at consumerinfo@fullmoonpet.com to make this right for you and your pup! 🐶❤️
We've bought our last 2 bags of chicken jerky from Walmart. Jerky in both bags were hard. Still very in best use by date. If we order from you will it be soft. My littles love it

Hi Lou! Yes! They are 100% human grade, so nothing will happen if you eat them. We make them for dogs, but we hold them to the same standards as people food!🐕❤️
I have a question regarding the nutritional content for your chicken jerky treats. It lists the fat min percentage, but can you tell me the fat max percentage? Thank you!
Hi Cindy! Your questions have been escalated to our team to get you the best answer, and as soon as I have an update, I’ll be sure to let you know! 🐶❤️
