Switching to a new food can be challenging for your dog. Ease in for a smooth transition. Give yourself at least a week to introduce and properly get started on feeding Pure Protein Air Dried.

  • Days 1-2: Introduce with only 25% of the meal.

Can I rotate different Pure Protein Air Dried proteins?

Yes, but only after you’ve successfully transitioned from your previous feed to Pure Protein Air Dried. We know not all dogs have the same preferences, so we’ve made our food versatile: each protein is made with the same kcals intentionally, helping you switch between your dog’s specific preference.

Will Pure Protein Air Dried be suitable for my puppy or senior pets?

Pure Protein Air Dried is formulated for senior pets only.

Will my pet feel satisfied?

Yes! Your pet will feel satisfied with Pure Protein Air Dried if you follow the feeding instructions to provide the right portion for their size and nutritional needs.

Can Pure Protein Air Dried be fed as a topper or mixed with another food?

Does Pure Protein Air Dried expire?

Pure Protein Air Dried should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Additionally, once opened, they should be consumed within 30 days or stored in an airtight container to maintain freshness. If food is transferred from their original bag, make sure the oxygen scavenger is also placed in the new container. This prevents mold from forming on the food.

Questions? We have the answers!

Why Fresh Frozen?

At Full Moon, we’ve set out to feed our dogs the same nourishing ingredients we’d feed ourselves.

Flash freezing allows us to deliver the highest quality ingredients at their peak nutrition in the least processed way. We don’t add any preservatives, so you’re able to conveniently store food longer (up to a year!) and still feel at peace knowing you’re offering a healthy meal, each time.

How is Freshly Crafted™ made?

We take pride in sourcing the meat in our recipes from Perdue Family Farms, where all animals are raised ethically and without use of antibiotics.

Starting in small batches, we gently cook the meat and liver in USDA-compliant facilities, flash freeze, and mix with frozen, raw vegetables. From beginning to end, we uphold the highest standards to be truly human grade.

Our unique individually frozen format allows you to easily scoop as little or as much as you want, or simply pour directly from the bag and serve. Easier for you, better for your dog.

Why is there a 3 bag order minimum?

Freshly Crafted ships frozen with lots of dry ice to keep the food cold in transit and while it waits on your doorstep. It's our responsibility to make quality dog food as accessible as possible and to minimize our carbon footprint from shipping, so we require a minimum of 3 bags per order and encourage ordering a month's worth of food at time.

How do I transition my dog to Freshly Crafted?

Switching to a new food can be challenging for your dog, especially shifting from kibble to fresh. We recommend slowly introducing your dog to Freshly Crafted over a course of a week by following this guidance:

Days 1-2: Introduce with only 25% of the meal.
Days 3-4: Increase to 50% of the meal.
Days 5-6: Increase to 75% of the meal.
Day 7: Fully transition to a complete Freshly Crafted diet.

We know not all dogs have the same preferences, so we've made our food versatile to serve:  frozen (for a firmer texture!), thawed at room temperature, or gently warmed in the microwave on defrost.

Reviews

These are the best

"I used to buy these sliced chicken jerky on chewy and at target. My dogs and our daughters dogs all loved them. Then I could not get them any longer and was so disappointed. They are perfect because they are jerky with the limited ingredients, plus it's a softer jerky that our old dog is able to eat. When I decided to look on chewy's website and it was there, although I don't think they had it earlier. I got so excited and bought it and the dogs all loved it. It finished too quick. Now I see that chewy is carrying it again and I'll always put that in my cart when I do an order. They seem to say fresh as well."

Thinner than the regular jerky

"My senior dogs have good teeth but I still like to give them a little bit thinner version of their favorite one ingredient chicken chew."

Lisa G. (5/5)

A bit disappointed.

"I guess I didn’t pay close enough attention to the ingredients. Why would you put sugar in this ? It looks like you’re using good quality chicken. You don’t need all that other stuff. Upset my pups stomach. Would not buy again. Will donate the other three bags to the shelter."

Q&A

Our Toy Poodle Lily loves your Chicken Jerky (in small pieces of course). She has just been put on a Kidney Disease diet. Is this appropriate for a Kidney disease diet? (low salt, phosphorus, etc.) Or do you have something else that does fit in with a KD diet?
Hi Rick! We’re so glad Lily loves our jerky! While we don’t have a specific kidney disease diet recipe at the moment, we recommend sharing our ingredient lists with your vet to see if any of our treats could still be a great fit for her. 🐾
why has cassava root been taken out of the recipe?
Hi Tucker! Just a quick note — the Natural Cuts Chicken Jerky recipe did not include cassava root. The recipe that does is our Jerky Tenders. ❤️🐾
From what country is the chicken sourced?
Hello. My name is Tiana and I am with Full Moon Pet. That is a great question and I am happy to assist you. We use only USDA inspected chicken from poultry farms in the United States. I hope this helps!
Why do you have to put sugar in the treats? Basically this is candy for dogs.
Hi there, Carol. This is a great question! We do use organic cane sugar in small amounts which helps keep our treats soft and pliable and should not cause any issues for your pets. We chose not to use glycerin, which can be found in other treat brands because it is a filler that is high in calories, and may cause digestive problems. As always, if you have particular concerns regarding your pet, we recommend speaking with your veterinarian. We hope this helps answer your question. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to call us toll-free at 1-888-970-FULL (1-888-970-3855) Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM ET (6:00 AM to 3:30 PM PT). ~Eliza
Are any of your treats small sized for a small breed?
Hello, Mindy. My name is Tiana and I am with Full Moon Pet. While we do not have specific treats for small breed dogs, our Organic Chicken and Duck training treats are a smaller sized treat. I hope this helps.
