Can I rotate different Pure Protein Air Dried proteins?

Yes, but only after you’ve successfully transitioned from your previous feed to Pure Protein Air Dried. We know not all dogs have the same preferences, so we’ve made our food versatile: each protein is made with the same kcals intentionally, helping you switch between your dog’s specific preference.

Pure Protein Air Dried is formulated for adult pets only.

Does Pure Protein Air Dried expire?

Pure Protein Air Dried should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Additionally, once opened, they should be consumed within 30 days or stored in an airtight container to maintain freshness. If food is transferred from their original bag, make sure the oxygen scavenger is also placed in the new container. This prevents mold from forming on the food.

With Pure Protein Air Dried, you get the quality of fresh food with the convince of kibble. No prep needed, no special storage, just easy to store, scoop and serve without handling raw food. Both Freshly Crafted and Pure Protein Air Dried dog foods put protein front and center with fresh high quality USDA meat-based recipes delivering mouthwatering flavor that will keep your dog hooked.

Questions? We have the answers!

Why Fresh Frozen?

At Full Moon, we’ve set out to feed our dogs the same nourishing ingredients we’d feed ourselves.

Flash freezing allows us to deliver the highest quality ingredients at their peak nutrition in the least processed way. We don’t add any preservatives, so you’re able to conveniently store food longer (up to a year!) and still feel at peace knowing you’re offering a healthy meal, each time.

How is Freshly Crafted™ made?

We take pride in sourcing the meat in our recipes from Perdue Family Farms, where all animals are raised ethically and without use of antibiotics.

Starting in small batches, we gently cook the meat and liver in USDA-compliant facilities, flash freeze, and mix with frozen, raw vegetables. From beginning to end, we uphold the highest standards to be truly human grade.

Our unique individually frozen format allows you to easily scoop as little or as much as you want, or simply pour directly from the bag and serve. Easier for you, better for your dog.

How much should I serve my dog?

It depends! The weight and activity level of your dog can influence how many servings of food they need. Complete this short quiz to learn what’s best for them.

If you’re on a budget, Freshly Crafted makes for a great topper. Supplementing with Freshly Crafted is easy way to make their food tastier and more nutritious. Elevate your dog’s meals in a way that works for you.

Why is there a 3 bag order minimum?

Freshly Crafted ships frozen with lots of dry ice to keep the food cold in transit and while it waits on your doorstep. It's our responsibility to make quality dog food as accessible as possible and to minimize our carbon footprint from shipping, so we require a minimum of 3 bags per order and encourage ordering a month's worth of food at time.

How do I transition my dog to Freshly Crafted?

Switching to a new food can be challenging for your dog, especially shifting from kibble to fresh. We recommend slowly introducing your dog to Freshly Crafted over a course of a week by following this guidance:

Days 1-2: Introduce with only 25% of the meal.
Days 3-4: Increase to 50% of the meal.
Days 5-6: Increase to 75% of the meal.
Day 7: Fully transition to a complete Freshly Crafted diet.

We know not all dogs have the same preferences, so we've made our food versatile to serve:  frozen (for a firmer texture!), thawed at room temperature, or gently warmed in the microwave on defrost.

Air Dried

"I never received this. I order every 3 weeks and I have not had a problem until I added the Air Dried recipe and you guys never shipped it to me but did charge me. So I will never order it again but I am still getting the 4 bags of frozen and my Poodle is able to stomach it. He has alot of issues with foods. I also cook for him but I am glad I can supplement with Full Moon Chicken."

— Jennifer F. (1/5)

Another let down

"I bought this along with the Beef variety. My dogs actually ate this version for a day or two until they turned away from this one as well as the beef. I was completely NOT expecting that negativity since both dogs enjoy the Full Moon treats."

— Gloria W. (5/5)

For picky eaters

"My almost one year-old lab has been through several brands of food and will eat them for a while and then stops. This is the only brand he continues to eat. My only suggestion would be if it would come in bigger bags."

Q&A

I have read the ingredients for the 3 air dried recipes. None of them have any fruits or vegetables, or is it not listed in the ingredients? Thank you.
Hi Lisa! Great question! Our Air Dried recipes actually do include fruit—specifically apple pomace, which is listed in the ingredients. It's a great source of natural fiber to support your pup's digestion! 🍏✨
My dog loves the chicken jerky tenders, chicken sticks, and the mini chicken treats. I feed her Science Diet roasted chicken with carrots and spinach wet food. I add a few pieces of the treats I mentioned earlier to encourage her to eat. Problem is that she eats too much I guess because she keeps gaining weight and needs to lose 10#. She currently weighs 48# and is a mini goldendoodle. She litterly barks loudly to be fed or recieve treats. I'm well trained. Question is would feeding the air dried food as a topper be less calories than adding your treats? She's 3.5 yrs and eats 1.5-2 cans of food with 1/4-1/2 of your treats in her food and pieces of your treats throughout the day. Thank you for your help.
Hi Debby! That's a great question. Please reach out to our team at consumerinfo@fullmoonpet.com so we can help you look into the best options for your pup. We look forward to hearing from you!🐾💖
My five lb senior dog (Shih Tzu) doesn’t have many teeth anymore. Is it ok to soak it in just a bit of water, enough to soften but not drain.
Hi Stephanie! You can definitely do that! Soaking the treats in a bit of water is a perfect way to soften them for your senior pup! 🐶✨
hi, i got these and they are very hard. they are well in date and look and smell good. just so hard, they do not give under pressure. tried soaking in hot water and no difference. Are they all like this?
Hi Hunter! We’re so sorry to hear about your experience. Please reach out to us at consumerinfo@fullmoonpet.com so we can make this right for you and your pup! 🐶✨
How much do feed , and how food do you give them
Hi Frank! The amount of food to feed depends on the weight of your dog. You can find our Daily Feeding Chart listed under the Nutritional Facts section on each product page for guidance!
